Welcome to Infinite Loom, a blog by an artist expanding into tech.
Why is this blog called infinite loom?
Infinite loom is a play on a programming term- really an error to be avoided at all costs – called an “infinite loop” and my work with textiles on a hand-manipulated loom.
Why does this blog exist?
I started learning to program in a serious way in the spring of 2020 when I, and much of the world, found myself with no work and a lot of time on my hands in an indefinite lockdown.
What started as an experiment and a way to stay busy in uncertain times evolved into a full-time pursuit of knowledge and a change in careers (don’t worry, records are still very much being made).
Infinite Loom documents my progress as I, a musician and textile artist, learn to weave together threads of functions, snippets, styles and structural components with human ideas, team work, and, always, tasteful aesthetics.

I’m not sure but you are welcome to browse! Mostly, these posts are here to help me track my progress and stay motivated on my learning journey.
